Marcus was born and raised in southern Ohio. He moved to Paris after studying at the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago and quickly established his career with early commissions from Visionaire, The New York times Magazine, and French Vogue. He has since shot for many other publications including Italian Vanity Fair, British Vogue, Interview, Arena, and Dazed and Confused amongst others.
